A profit calculator quickly tells you how much money a trade would make or lose — in pips and in your account currency — so you can plan position size, risk and expected returns before you trade.
How to use the profit calculator — step‑by‑step
- Select the instrument (currency pair, stock, CFD, crypto, etc.).
- Select deposit currency (the currency your trading account uses).
- Enter trade size — lots (e.g., 0.01 / 0.1 / 1.0) or units/shares.
- Enter entry price (price where you open the trade).
- Enter exit price (target price / current price / price where you close).
- Choose direction — Buy / Long or Sell / Short.
- Click Calculate — results usually show: profit in pips, profit/loss in account currency.
It generates following results
- Profit (pips): how many pips the price moved in your favor.
- Profit (account currency): actual money added or subtracted to your account.
